ella and your next period
Some women who take ella may have their next period earlier or later than expected. Since there is no way to confirm if ella has worked until your next period, keep an eye out that your period is not delayed more than a week later than usual. If your period is more than 7 days late after taking ella, you should take a pregnancy test or contact your doctor or pharmacist.
ella and fertility
ella will not affect your future fertility. Fertility (or your ability to get pregnant) returns rapidly after taking ella, so it’s important to use a barrier method of contraception until your next period. You’ll need to wait 5 days after using ella before resuming any hormonal birth control.
