Advanced prescription

Sometimes, the best way to protect yourself is to be prepared. So, when it comes to taking charge of your sex life, why not take the same approach? Even if you're not in the middle of a pregnancy scare, the best time to get a prescription for ella is now.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that women should have emergency contraception on hand just in case they need it—particularly one containing the active ingredient found in ella (ulipristal acetate). If you're not ready to have a child at this stage in your life or at all, getting and filling a prescription for ella to have in advance helps you get to make that call.

Getting ella in advance means you'll be prepared. Simply contact your healthcare provider or one of our telemedicine partners for a prescription at any time.

Emergency Prescription

Finding yourself in need of emergency contraception can be stressful, and you may feel like waiting for a prescription seems scary. But ella is the only emergency contraceptive pill that is effective for up to 5 days after unprotected sex.

If you had unprotected sex and need ella now, you can ask for a prescription from your healthcare provider*, a family planning clinic, your campus or student health center, an urgent care center, the ER, or one of our telemedicine partners like NuRx or Wisp.

Learn more to see if ella may be the choice for you.

*Healthcare providers that can prescribe ella include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, or pharmacists in select states.
